There are many definitions to coaching and all capture common themes. The [ICF][1] defines coaching as a professional service that involves 'partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential'. The Association of Coaching defines coaching as 'a collaborative solution-focused, results orientated and systematic process in which the coach facilitates the enhancement of work performance, life experience, self directed learning and personal growth of the coachee'. Qualified coaches that use the science of positive psychology elicit solutions and strategies from the client; they believe the client is naturally creative and resourceful. The coach’s job is to provide support to enhance the skills, resources, and creativity that the client already has in order to unlock and develop human capabilities.
